Maserati has launched its mid-engine supercar, the MC Pura, in the Indian market. This low-slung, V6-powered car is available in Coupe and drop-top variants called the Cielo. The Coupe starts at ₹4.12 crore (ex-showroom), while the Cielo is priced at ₹5.12 crore (ex-showroom). These models were launched earlier this year and are upgrades to the MC20.

The MC Pura’s shape is derived from the MC20, with some changes to the front and rear design. One of these changes is the new grille shape, which features a dark frame and a more striking look. The front splitter has also been redesigned, and the air intakes below the headlights are more prominent. Similarly, the rear bumper has also been slightly modified to give it a more attractive appearance.

The exterior badging has been updated with a new finish. The Trident logo on the grille and C-pillar, the “MCPURA” script on both sides of the vehicle, and the badges on the wheel center caps are magenta with blue mica flecks. These badges are glossy on the coupe model and matte on the convertible, providing a contrast with the paint finish.

Maserati MC Pura performance

The Maserati MC Pura’s performance comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged “Nettuno” V6 engine, which produces 621 hp and 719 Nm of torque in both the Coupe and Cielo. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. With this power, the Cielo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, while its top speed is 325 km/h. The Coupe, on the other hand, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has the same top speed.

Maserati MC Pura Interior: A Kingdom of Luxury and Technology

If the exterior is captivating, the interior cabin truly touches the soul. This space, adorned with full Alcantara and leather, is designed for four people, but it’s truly driver-centric. The new seat design is more supportive, preventing fatigue during long drives. The Trident logo embossed on the steering wheel is a reminder of the brand’s heritage.

In terms of technology, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The digital instrument cluster displays speed, rpm, and navigation in real time. The sound system is available with a choice of Sonus or Bose, which makes the engine roar feel like background music. The climate control is dual-zone, and the ambient lighting can change to 16 million colors.

Safety features include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) – adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera. The carbon fiber chassis ensures robust crash structure. The interior is so refined that it feels like you’re sitting in a luxury lounge, but the moment you press the accelerator, it transforms into a race track. Customization options are endless thanks to Maserati’s Officine Fuoriserie program – from colors to stitching, everything can be tailored to your taste.
